Divergent - I've heard some of Herd's historical stuff, but based on what I've seen and heard of him since he received the first half of his "king/priest" assignment/title, he gives me the strong vibe that he knows his corporation is not what it claims to be.

Disagree on one, based on what I've seen & heard:

Samuel Herd - my instincts tell me he knows that the org is corrupt and self-serving and he's just going through the motions. He has a wife and family to consider, so he will bite his tongue. He doesn't appear to act as self-righteous and "glorious" as the rest of his fellow "priests" at Brooklyn. I reckon he could be mentally "out" already.

Another trinity thing

i have gone through the ones on here, i have read so much about it and everyone seems to have a different idea as to what the creed actually came up with in the sense of explaining it, religious leaders from most denominations seem to try to explain it and are all different, it does your head in just trying to read half their stuff.

when i was going door to door, i knew how to argue against it, but now trying to learn about it.. i was reading an article of the net about this and how christ emptied himself of all deity and that, but with all the statements made and arguments to and for it, one question was brought up.

when jesus was asked by his disciples about the time of the end, jesus replied neither i nor the angels know the hour, only the father.

If Jesus was God, (and appeared for the Pharisees) why didn't God materialize for Moses when requested? (Exodus 33:18-20)

Also, Trinitarians claim that Jesus was fully God and fully man - and yet Jesus denied knowing when the end would be, or that he had the ability to appoint those to his left and right hand. (Matthew 20:23)

Having come across further evidence of their double-speak and anti-Christ teachings, (lying about Jesus' teaching is anti-Christ isn't it?) I felt that every J.W. should have access to any information which relates to why the org demands they confess their sins to men.

w77 11/15 p. 693 par. 1 Genuine Repentance—How Is It Identified?

"ELDERS are not ‘father confessors’ who have been authorized to forgive all the sins that members of the congregation may commit. It is Jehovah God who forgives the sins of repentant ones, doing so on the basis of his Son’s atoning sacrifice. Therefore, a person’s being forgiven by Jehovah is not dependent upon his confessing his sins to the elders. (1 John 1:8,9; 2:1,2) However, (WT loves to insert "however" before it presents erroneous statements as facts) by serious transgression, a person can also sin against the congregation. This is the case because gross wrongdoing can bring much reproach and trouble upon the congregation with which the wayward one is associated. Hence, (here it comes!) elders representing the congregation should make sure that the individual is genuinely repentant before extending forgiveness to him for the bad name that he has given to the congregation."

Didn't the article start off by saying such things as "elders are not confessors", and not "authorized to forgive all the sins", that "it is Jehovah God who forgives", and that a person’s being forgiven by Jehovah is not dependent upon his confessing his sins to the elders. All of a sudden, elders can read a person's mind to see if they are genuinely repentant, as well as miraculously having the authority to impart forgiveness. Jesus' blood wasn't enough to cover it?

Bottom line for all Jehovah's Witness: if you voluntarily confess your sins to J.W. elders, you are disregarding what Christ said in order to obey the false traditions of the org.

Putrid anti-scriptural practices such as public/private reproofs (and many vindictive disfellowshippings) would vanish overnight if Matthew 18:15-17 was strictly applied.

Reason's why it is so difficult to leave

1. concerns about the effects it would have on yours and your family's social life.. 2. fear of being shunned.

3. the stress it will cause.

4. the thought of feeling isolated.

Some/all relevant reasons for faders. Personally, I would gladly discuss everything I've found with anyone & everyone I know in the org, but I control my overwhelming need to do so for my wife's sake. She's "out" too, but gently "feeds" her family whom she doesn't want to lose.

Your family could gently fade in your present congregation, and just accept being branded as "spiritually weak." Doing so would make some/all of your "friends" in the congregation distance themselves from you, for fear of being contaminated with your "weakness." Also, and much easier to deal with psychologically, the elders' attempts to "help" you. Simply say "private & personal issues to deal with, but thanks for your concern. We'll let you know if things change."

Moving home (if feasible) is a great way to start again - even if only to change congregations and immediately go "cold-turkey" for field-service & assemblies, and only attending meetings every few weeks or months.

Whatever works for you and your family.

Are the Jehovah's Witnesses really false prophets, perhaps being mentally manipulated by the Watchtower Corporation ? ?

there is a lot of public scrutiny going on these days about the jw religion particularly on the inter - net.

one of the posed questions which gets debated and discussed quite often, are the jws false prophets instigated to preach a tainted commercialized gospel under the direction of the executive leaders of the watchtower corporation ?

these focused men who are responsible for creating the core doctrines of this organization.

The false prophets are the numerous charlatans running the WTBTS corporations. The 8 million minions are merely parroting what they've been told is "truth", unless of course they're trolley-watchers.

Many J.W.'s are unaware/unsure what the "current" truth is regarding some of their doctrines, due to the constant "new lights".

IMO the org is dying a death by 1000 cuts - thanks mainly to the internet/social media. The genie is out of the bottle and Brooklyn knows it, hence the massive money-grab from every congregation's bank accounts, culminating in the WTBTS's "Master Plan" (TM) to maximise auditorium capacity in Kingdom Halls by consolidating congregations and selling off Kingdom Halls wholesale.

In love with a JW girl

i was in a relation with a jw girl for almost three years(im am not jw) and we are so inlove with each other until someone saw us from her congregation and she was disfellowed and that where the oddness happened.

her family and friends are not talking to her anymore, she wants me to stop seeing and talking to her anymore not until i became a baptized jw.

rastapau - I'm a fading J.W. so I can assure you that you will only suffer far more if you continue down the J.W. road. Once you're baptized, you will be subject to the rules and regulations of a money-making cult which masquerades as "God's organization." If you question their doctrines, practices, or finances, you'll see a very different side to "God's people."

You've been fortunate.

I just telephoned Brooklyn to "confirm" that the brother in the video is a showbiz star over in the good ole U.S of A.

The 3rd person I was connected to (male with foreign accent) actually told me that it would be going against the "theocratic arrangement" to answer my question, and that I should go through my elders, they should contact Britain Branch, and Britain Branch should then contact Brooklyn!

When I questioned why he couldn't give me an answer, he said that my questioning seemed to indicate that I wasn't his brother, and then said "have a good rest of your day" (sic) - abruptly hanging up on me!

Well brother, if you're one of those poor paranoid sheep who depend on the org for bed & board, I can well appreciate your reasons for being ignorant and evasive when asked pertinent questions.

You have a "good rest of your day" - and life - because your golden calf is melting day by day!

's excluded from the new covenant, but apparently none of the first century christians are part of the "israel of god" - aka "spiritual israel.".

I always thought that the "Israel of God" came into existence in one one day, back at Pentecost 33 C.E. - according to Acts chapter 2.
